  • FEWD Studio is an early-stage product. While there is every intention of providing updates and further development, you are purchasing the app as it currently exists. If you change your mind within 14 days, you can have a full refund, no quibble.
  • FEWD Studio is now signed on Mac. FEWD Studio is now V1 and is available as a £49.99 Lifetime Deal. The pricing model is yet to be decided, but may move to an annual subscription model. Get the LTD while you can!

Terms of Service

1. About FEWD Studio

FEWD Studio is a downloadable desktop software tool designed to assist with front-end web development workflows, including editing and managing local HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related files.

These terms also apply to GenCSS, the companion CSS framework generator sold alongside FEWD Studio. Where these terms say FEWD Studio or the software, that includes GenCSS. In these terms, "we", "us" and "the developer" mean the developer of FEWD Studio.

2. Independent developer

FEWD Studio is designed, built and supported by an independent developer, not a large software company. It is developed with vigilance for safety and security, and every reasonable effort is made to keep it free of defects and security issues. No software can be guaranteed to be free of faults, vulnerabilities or compromise, and FEWD Studio is no exception.

3. Licence and use

When you purchase FEWD Studio, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software in accordance with the terms presented at the point of purchase.

Licences may allow use on a limited number of devices depending on the product tier. You may not resell, redistribute, or share access to the software without permission.

4. Use at your own risk

By buying, downloading, installing or using FEWD Studio, you confirm that you are choosing to use it at your own risk. You are responsible for deciding whether it is suitable for your purposes, and for how and where you run it.

5. Your responsibilities

FEWD Studio works with your local project files. You are responsible for:

  • keeping regular backups of your work and taking one before installing each new version;
  • reviewing and testing all files and code the software creates or changes before you publish or use them in production;
  • the security of the machines, accounts and networks you run it on, including keeping your operating system, antivirus and firewall up to date; and
  • guarding against any third-party package or dependency that your projects download or run (for example from npm), using safeguards such as lock files, audit tools and restricting install scripts.

6. Third-party software and services

FEWD Studio may work with, or your projects may depend on, software, packages, registries, hosting or services provided by other people. The developer does not control, audit or vouch for them and is not responsible for them.

7. Updates and versions

Licences may include updates within a specific version (e.g. V1). Future versions may require a separate purchase or optional update plan.

The software will not be remotely disabled for users who have purchased a valid version.

8. Acceptable use

  • No unlawful use
  • No licence bypassing
  • No redistribution or resale

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • the software is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, other than those that cannot be excluded by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with all environments, or error-free performance;
  • the developer is not liable for any loss of data, loss of profits, revenue, business or goodwill, business interruption, security incident, or any indirect or consequential loss, arising from buying, installing or using the software or anything it produces; and
  • the developer's total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.

10. If you use FEWD Studio for work

If you use FEWD Studio in the course of a business, including work for clients, you are responsible for the work you deliver and you agree to indemnify the developer against claims by your clients or other third parties arising from that use.

11. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

12. How you agree to these terms

Before you continue to checkout you give your name and the email address you will buy with, and tick a box to confirm you have read and agree to these terms. Your agreement is recorded with the date, time, IP address and browser, and passed to the checkout with your order. If you do not agree to these terms, do not buy or use FEWD Studio.

13. Support

Support is provided via email and documentation. No custom development or consulting is included.

14. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. These terms may be updated; the date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version you agreed to at checkout applies to your purchase.

Refund Policy

1. Payment

Payment is taken immediately at the time of purchase.

2. Refund window

If you change your mind for any reason within 14 days of purchase, you can have a full refund, no quibble. Just ask.

3. Requesting a refund

4. After 14 days

After 14 days, refund requests are considered case by case, depending on the circumstances. We aim to be fair and reasonable. This does not affect your statutory rights if the software is faulty.

5. Non-refundable situations

  • Abuse of the refund policy, such as repeated purchases and refunds

6. Chargebacks

Please contact support before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve the issue.
